“If this is you God, can you say it again?  Can you make the lights blink on and off so I’ll know it’s you?”

Does this sound familiar?  If you are a Bible reader, you know about the account of Gideon.  When ask to perform a task by God he asked “If now I have found favor in Your sight, then show me a sign that it is You who talks with me.”  Gideon went back two more times and asked God to perform different tasks so that he would know if what he was hearing was really God.  (The Bible – Judges 6)

As I stated in our last conversation, there are so many people that have been in church for many years, faithfully attending weekly worship services.  They love God and feel they have a relationship with God but don’t really know the voice of God for themselves.  They don’t know if what they are hearing, sensing, or feeling is from God. Even more devastating, they have no mentor, guide, prophetic voice to help them discern the voice of God.

I know there have been many people that have “gone off” in what I call being “Flakey”, (Exhibiting eccentric unbalanced or irrational behavior.) believing they have heard from God.  History is full of tragic scenes of misguided individuals saying they have heard from God.

In this season, you can no longer allow yourself to be held back, tormented, or confused about rather or not what you are hearing is authentic.  Here are a few things I want you to take into consideration:

• When God speaks it is clear and complete
• When God speaks there is peace, a sense of calm and well being
• The purer your heart/motives the more God will reveal to you
• When receiving a Word from God  for someone else get clear on God’s timing to release the word as well
• There is a big difference between reading ethereal energy and hearing a word from God
• Your Ego mind will try to lead you first with something false when it feels threatened
• God wants to use you to build up and comfort others

Refuse to go another year not knowing if what you are hearing, sensing, or feeling is from God.  When you settle this for yourself, you will have more confidence to step out and take action on the direction you are receiving.

PLEASE DON’T DO THIS!

There are so many people that feel as though they are drowning and need a life-line.  The strange thing about this is that I don’t know why it is so hard to admit when help is needed.  I am here to tell you that trying to go it alone is self-sabotaging.  DON”T TRY TO DO EVERYTHING BY YOURSELF!!!

Many believers are finding themselves discouraged because they feel like they are praying, worshiping, and giving but are getting little to no results in return.

Let me explain…  Many of us have been praying, worshiping, tithing, and sowing seed, but if we were to be honest, we are not yet seeing the results we know belongs to us according to what has been promised. Believers are overwhelmed with debt, confused about the future, and don’t know for sure if God hears their prayers!

We know that Jesus said He came that we might have life and have it more abundantly.  In other words, the amplified version of John 10:10 says:

“I came that you may live and enjoy life to the fill until it overflows!”

Instead of a life filled and overflowing with joy, peace, happiness and contentment, many believers find themselves living the exact opposite.  They are:

• Worried
• Depressed
• Broke
• Confused
• Unfulfilled
• Going through the motions of living but not consciously living

I can remember going through life just that way.  Oh yes, and thank God for prayer, praise, and worship.  It kept me sane!!!

I am not trying to say that when we do these things we are not getting results at all, not by any means, but what I am saying is that I recognize that many of you have gone as far as you can go on your own and you now realize it is time to get HELP! But Where can you get the right kind of Help?

Here are some keys to help you get the right kind of help. Consider this:

• If you are the go to person in your environment or the smartest person in your group, it’s time to go outside of your environment to get help.
• There are many wonderful resources you can access for free that will give some help. But if you are really serious about making real change and up-leveling your life then you need to “put some skin in the game!” In other words you need to make some kind of an investment in your life. It should require something from you. It should make you think twice before you blow off and fall back into your way of being and doing things.
• Look for a coach/mentor that is real. Someone who has gone through what you are going through and have come out enough to be able to give you an accurate blueprint to help you get out.
• Lastly, after you breakdown and realize you need help, be willing to breakout of comfort zones and be confident knowing you will breakthrough to being the awesome person you are here to be. Only you can do this for you!

In part 1 of my brand new Empowerment Training Call last week, I talked about what it means to have roadblocks, detours, and stop signs appear as you are on life’s journey fulfilling your destiny. I know what it’s like to do all you know how to do but yet there is still no real progress.

If you listen to all the negative tapes that play in your mind you will feel like:

• You are doing something so wrong
• That you are not as blessed as others
• Something is just missing for you
• You are cursed, Someone is working against you, etc.

It seems like no sooner than you get even a (small) breakthrough, right around the corner is another disappointment, another setback, or more confusion.  I want you to be encouraged and know that what you are experiencing is a part of the flow of life.

I don’t want to do you an injustice and just declare that “you are out and you will never see another challenge or challenging day again.”  That is not realistic and I know you have had enough of that…  All of life has a cyclical flow.  There is an ebb and flow, a rhythm to life.

If you can hold on just a little while longer, you are going to see a turnaround. I am standing with you, believing with you.  This too must pass.  Everything has to change eventually.  If you are already down, then there is nowhere to go but up!  Look up and live!!!

In this season, several things are happening for you:

1. You are getting “tough” skin
2. You are being asked to put everything in order
3. You are taking full responsibility for your own success
4. Your faith in being increased

Get ready your best days are right in front of you and I am standing with you, I am in agreement with you.  All things are working together and fitting into a plan for your good.  Just hold on! More is coming!!!

We are taking time this week to celebrate Passion Week.

I can imagine that over 2000 years ago when the disciples were encountering this week as it happened, (Jesus being falsely accused, arrested, mocked, beaten, tried, and found guilty)  they thought everything was over.

I can see why many of them went back to their fishing business.  They heard Jesus say it but they did not know for sure if it would happen.  What exactly? The power of God causing something dead to come back to life again.

This is ultimate power.  The ability to take something that is dead, destroyed, or no longer existing and bring it back to life is absolutely amazing.  There are so many people that don’t believe that a physical resurrection took place.  I am not debating that today.  What I am doing is announcing that the same power that worked then is still working now.

Let me ask you this…

Do you have dreams that have died and you like the disciples of Christ have given up and moved on to something else?  Are you secretly longing for your dreams to come true but don’t know what to do?

It is not too late…

You don’t have to give up, you can resurrect your dreams. As you celebrate Resurrection Sunday with your family and friends, take some alone time this weekend and ask God to help you resurrect your dreams and fulfill your destiny.
